PP
POLYPROPYLENE (Poliolefine)

Brand Name:
Moplen

Watt Density ': from 0.90 to 0.91 g/cm3

Structure:

Partly crystalline (crystallinity between 60% and 70%)

Mechanical characteristics:

Increased stiffness, hardness and mechanical strength compared to EP
Minor resistance compared to EP

Electrical characteristics:

Similar to EP
Features dielectric support (independent of frequency)
It has a good electrostatic charge (attracts dust)

Thermal characteristics:

At high temperatures the pure PP tends to oxidize and it is therefore necessary stabilisation.
Temperature upper limit 110 ° C (higher reinforced by type)
Melting 158-168 ° C
Combustion behaviour as the EP
Temperature weakening 0 ° C (lowest for modified types).

Resistant to:

Aqueous solutions of inorganic salts, acids and inorganic weak alkaline solutions, alcohol, some oils.

Not resistant to:

Strong oxidizing agents, halogenated hydrocarbons, swelling in aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons (gasoline and benzene), particularly at high temperatures
